PM -331 MARRIAGE AND FAMILY

Family is the center of God’s activities among men. Among the three institutions of God, marriage is the oldest and the building block for the remaining two. The other two institutions are the Church and the State; without a healthy home or marriage the Church and the state (Nations) will be in shamble.

Marriage was instituted in Paradise when man was in innocence ( Genesis 2:18-24 ). Here we have its original charter, which was confirmed by our Lord, as the basis on which all regulations are to be framed ( Matthew 19:4,5 ).

When the Pharisees came to The Lord Jesus Christ about the issue of divorce, He referred them to God’s original plan for marriage as God’s idea and not what Moses permitted them to do due to their hardness of heart ( Matthew 19:3-9 ).

Christian marriage is a marriage that conforms to the original plan of God as revealed in the Bible. Society does not determine and dictate the tune of Marriage but the Word of God does.
