The story of the birth and beginning of Living People Assembly of the Zoe Pentecostal Mission, Ibadan is a testimony to the faithfulness of God to His chosen ones, it is at the same time a fulfillment of the word of God in Ecclesiastes 3:1 which states that “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven”.

Zoe Pentecostal Mission International started in 1990 when the Lord spoke to His servant, the visionary and the founder of the Mission, Rev. Dr. M.T. Adenitire, who was ordered by the Lord to move out to win souls into His kingdom through Pentecostal Movement. Hence, he prayerfully sought for his release from where he was serving the Lord at the Redeemed Christian Church of God. He was later released and prayed for by the General Overseer of the Church, Daddy E. A. Adeboye.

The Mission given is to preach the word of God to the unreached all over the world. To do this, “Charity begins at home” says an adage, Rev. Dr. Adenitire started fulfilling God’s mission at Oluyole Estate in Ibadan as a base in 1990.

Again, the Lord told him to go out into the world. Hence, he had to move to Italy by the leading of the Holy Spirit in 1992. There in Italy, God justifies his mission.

To the glory of God the Pastor in charge of Living People Assembly is Pastor Joke Adedeji, who works under the submission of the Holy Spirit and Of the overseeing Pastor of all our churches in West African, Rev. Dr. W.O.S. Akerele.

Ever since the beginning of this assembly we have seen God’s faithfulness at work. Despite the several attacks of the enemy, God has indeed silenced the mouth of the enemy. He showed that we were not only Living People by name when years back, God miraculously saved the church from been shut down. And now, by His Grace and Mercy we are moving on stronger than before. Initially we were in a rented place. Today we are at our permanent site, fulfilling God’s mandate for the mission.
