The aim of this course is to investigate the historical accuracy of the biblical record of Abraham, the progenitor of the Jewish nation, in the light of Archaeological discoveries.
It is important to say that archaeology cannot prove that the Bible is true. The central message of the Bible involves God’s plan of redemption and His dealings with human heart.
Therefore, only the Bible can tell us what God has done in the past and how human beings have responded to Him. Lifeless stones and other physical objects are incapable of revealing to us God’s involvement in the events that took place during their period of use. Archaeology does, however provide ample evidence about the accuracy of the Bible in what it says about geography, history and events of its day.
