“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope” (Romans 15:4).
The “things (that) were written aforetime” are “the Scriptures”, and the reference are to the 39 books of the Old Testament. God expects us to recognize and learn about them that through patience and comfort we might have hope. This is our main objective in this course on Bible Survey I, to survey the books of the Old Testament.
Because of the nature of the study, it will be impossible to study the details of each book of the Old Testament and make detail spiritual application. However, we shall survey "the main truth convey" by each book and answer some questions that might throw more light into the Old Testament as a whole and some books especially.
We shall also attempt to show Christ as the main theme of the books of the Old Testament and do some studies on the chronology of the Bible.
